Truman Baker Lake is on Haw Creek in Scott County, Arkansas and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1972. Its normal surface area is 8 acres. It is owned by the City Of Waldron. No boat ramp is available on the lake. The adjacent Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department rest area has restrooms, water fountains, covered picnic tables and parking. Fishing supplies, motels and restaurants are available in Waldron. Camping is available on Lake Hinkle, 12 miles west of Waldron. Truman Baker Lake is an ideal spot to take the kids fishing for bluegills, channel catfish and largemouth bass, the lake’s primary sportfish. No drive-in access is available, but visitors an park at the rest area and carry their gear a short distance to bankfishing areas around the lake. The lake has no boat ramp, but a small one-or-two man fishing boat could be carried to the water to provide better access to prime fishing spots.
