Crappie fritters Recipe for Calico Bass(White Crappie)

Title: Crappie fritters
by rlt
Type: Entree
Servings: 4
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 24 hours
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients: 1 liter of 7-up or Sprite, of course the fish, cornmeal, spice and peanut oil
Directions: Soak 1/2 gal. of crappie fillets in a large bowl of 7-up or Sprite in the refrigerator over night, drain and batter the fish in cornmeal while the peanut oil is getting hot and deep fry until golden brown.
Other Notes: You can add your favorite spices, but I use salt, pepper, garlic powder and some chile powder in my cormeal. Oh, and as most of you probably already know, don't batter the fish until right before you put the fish into the peanut oil or the batter will not stick to the fish.
